Splitting my money!

Oh dear, am I ever so busy or what?!

I have been working two jobs for about two weeks now.  My new job required a bunch of training outside of the regular hours so I've been going non stop.  But it will be better next week (I hope)...

Since I'm also planning my trip to Taiwan so the money is definitely welcome!

I got into a discussion about how I divide my money with a friend recently and here is the answer...

Right now I'm splitting everything (both paycheques and my tips) equally between:
  • Taiwan
  • Bills/emergency
  • Mr. Mastercard
I use one account for my bills and emergency fund for the time being as I cleaned myself out completely over the last year and had ABSOLUTELY no money at all until about a month ago.  Once I have three months worth of bills saved (~$3000) I will begin to save a separate emergency fund.

Also, I have determined that my trip to Taiwan should cost just shy of $1500.  Once I have reached that target amount I will probably change how I am dividing my money but I'm not sure exactly how yet.

For now, I'm just going to keep working my butt off and trying to enjoy my summer as best I can!

I am not lost!

As a matter of fact, complete opposite.

I've been finding myself.

I am back to working at the restaurant now.  I started kickboxing.  Reunited with long lost friends.

Its been a crazy and AMAZING month.

Most importantly, my rent has been paid, my bank accounts are in the black and I've begun repaying my debts, slowly for now.

I also made an important decision to join a few friends in Taiwan for a year.  We'll be leaving in September and I'm really really excited about that.  I have sold my car and am getting rid of lots and lots of stuff so that I have less in storage.  Every time I move (10 times in the last 5 years) I declutter but this time I'm going ALL out. I've already started and its still a few months away. I'm so excited because I know that Taiwan will be an amazing, no matter what!

For now its just work work work, save save save!
